My wife and I spent a month in this apartment on Voltaire. There
are lots of people on the streets at all hours and this made us
feel very safe. We liked that it was a real Parisian neighborhood
and not touristique. The apartment itself was small but very thoughtfully
appointed and has a great kitchen. The landlord was VERY nice
and helpful. In short, we loved our stay there and would do it
again in a heartbeat.
I'd be happy to answer questions if anyone wanted further information.

I stayed in the Bastille/Paris apartment for a month last summer.
Although there are many Paris apartments falsely advertized as
"Marais" when they are nowhere close to that area, this one is
5 minute walk to the edge of the Marais and barely a 10 minute
walk from the Bastille. It is also a 20 minute walk to Belleville
and other lively areas which all have their own character. If
you are familiar with Paris, you will know immediately that it
is superbly located. The landlords were always responsible and
civil andprovided for my needs very well.!

When we were in Paris placed in your flat, we spend a very nice
time there Paris is wonderful, and people were very kind. Your
flat was very nice, comfortable and clean. The underground was
right close to the house, which was very, very comfortable. The
internet access was also very good and usefull! We can find a
lot of information considering out tours in Paris. We enjoyed
out time in Paris, many thanks for it! Best regards

A lovely apartment--airy and light. It's just right for one or
two people eager to explore all the sites of central Paris. Very
near the Marais, Bastille, but not noisy, as the apartment is
on the top floor..

This is to inform to whom it may concern that we have dealt with
Ms. Elizabeth Ban in two occasions when we rented her apartment
Bastille/arais and one year later another one. We found her to
be trustworthy person to deal with, and we can say that the descriptions
and features of her web site were truly accurate. It was for these
reasons that we rented with her again back in May of this year.
We signed contracts on both cases and there were no problems as
we had at our disposal the manuals of all the appliances. As to
the Bastille/ Marais at no time we felt unsafe because the area
is pleasant and well located (only a five minutes walk to Paris
New Opera and Bastille Square, and about ten minutes to Place
des Vosges). In addition, the metro station Saint-Ambroise is
only a few steps from the front door of the building. To sum up:
our experience with this particular apartment and with Ms. Ban
in general has been positive in every respect (cleanness, equipment
provided, location and transportation and in line with the cost
of the rental).
We, my wife and I would not hesitate to rent from her again

We stayed in this apartment for 11 days in December, 2004. The
apartment is quite comfortable for a couple. The kitchen was great.
The location is superb. Within walking distance to the Latin Quarter/Marais,
but in a quiet, residential area. Rue Oberkampf is loaded with
great shops. Great for 1 or 2 people looking to see Paris from
a local perspective. Within 2 blocks of 2 different Metro lines-one
right outside the door. Be sure to attend the Farmers Market on
Richard Lenoir on Sundays.!

I would like to comment on how much I enjoyed staying at the aparishomes.com
studio "Bastille/Marais". I stayed there for a month and never
had any problems. The neighborhood is safe and friendly and not
full of tourists. A real Paris experience. I spent many nights
walking around and shopped at many small wine, food and cheese
shops. There are several nice cafes (an Irish pub within walking
distance) and the subway stop is just out the front door. You
can walk to Place de Republique, Bastille and Marais. I enjoyed
meeting the owner Elisabth, Charles and Gaelle and they went out
of their way to make my stay comfortable. We have stayed in contact
since. I would recommend them to my best friends.

in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir würden das Appartement jederzeit wieder
anmieten und können es nur weiterempfehlen!.

We had a wonderful time! The apartment is in an excellent location,
with a Metro stop right outside the front door. The apartment
itself was clean and nicely decorated, with all modern appliances.
The landlady (Elisabeth) was very helpful and gracious. WE HIGHLY
recommend this place to Americans and other nationalities as well.

It was very nice to stay at the small appartement as a couple.
Little stores and bakeries are just around the corner and bigger
supermarkets not far. We were able to go jogging all the way to
Bastille and there is a Metro station (St. Ambroise) right in
front of the house. The Landlord is very helpful and reasonable.

I spent three months at the apartment at Voltaire. I had a very
pleasurable stay. The owners/landlords were great and very fair.
The apartment is a perfect size for one person, and two people
as a couple. The apartment looks exactly like the photos from
the website. The neighborhood is great and very safe. It is only
a few minutes walk to the open-air markets and ten to fifteen
minutes to three different bar/club areas (Oberkampf, Bastille
and Republique). It is easily accessible to The #5 & #9 metro
lines as well as multiple bus lines. Overall a great location
and very safe. Landlords were wonderful.
Huge american Kitchen which is nearly impossible to find in any
Parisian apartment. Great for short term stay.

I stayed at the apartment but for 3 nights, I found that is was
exactly as pictured, and described on the Internet site. My dealings
both the owner and her Mother were quite pleasant, and the transaction
was handled with the utmost professionalism. The apartment is
very comfortable, the appliances are new, and although in a central
location, the apartment is fairly quite (although at the time
there was a lot of construction happening outside). I would not
hesitate to recommend the property to anyone.

I spent three months in the apartment and found it to be very
pleasant. The decor is bright and cheery, and it was equipped
with everything I needed during my stay. The people in the building
are very friendly. I felt very much at home. The apartment is
located within walking distance of many wonderful parts of the
city. I hardly used the metro since it turned out to be just as
easy, and more pleasant, to walk to most places I needed to go
to. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to others.

The appartment was very well presented. All the fittings and furniture
looked new and the place was spotless when we arrived. The location
was fine, within walking distance of most of Paris and right next
to the metro. All in all, a good find at a very reasonable price..
